Thank you for considering the Grand Teton 50 Miler for your first ultramarathon. You are correct that we do not offer a belt buckle to 50 Mile finishers. There are very few 50 Mile races that offer this to all finishers (I know the Old Pueblo 50 Miler is one of those races). A buckle is traditionally reserved for those who finish 100 Mile races. I thought it was customary for any ultra marathon to give out buckles to ultra finishers? I am looking into doing my first ultra next year and the Tetons is exciting for me because I worked in Grand Teton National Park and my father grew up in Teton Valley. However, as minor as it sounds, I would like to get a buckle for finishing my first ultra.
