Lisa Smith-Batchen is a world reknown elite ultra runner, ironman competitor and adventure racer. Lisa is a woman of many "firsts". She is still the ONLY American to win the Marathon des Sables stage-race through the Moroccan desert and has twice won the Badwater Ultramarathon considered one of the toughest races in the world. She is also the first and only person to ever have run 50 miles a day in 50 states in the USA in 62 days!

Jay Batchen, a 9-time Marathon des Sables competitor, is a seasoned runner and race director. He focuses on making sure that every Dreamchaser running event caters to what matters most to runners. He embraces the importance of well-marked courses, runner safety and well stocked aid stations with experienced volunteers. His expertise as race director is valued around the world.
Jay uses his years of experiece and combines it with some of the most breathtaking courses and trails anywhere ensuring a memorable racing experience for both beginning and advanced runners! Jay resides in Teton Valley with his wife Lisa Smith-Batchen and their two beautiful children, Gabby and Annie. You can often find Jay at Teton Running Co. and ask any running questions you may have.

Abby Broughton moved to Teton Valley at age ten and spent her days skiing, playing soccer, and playing in the Teton High School Pep band. She went to college intending to be a music major, but found rowing instead. After graduating from college with an art degree she moved to Seattle to further pursue her rowing. After six years of elite rowing, she has recently moved back to the Valley to be closer to the mountains and is excited to be on the Dreamchasers team!
Abby was a 4-time US National Rowing team member and achieved a bronze and silver medal at the 2009 and 2010 World Rowing Championships, as well as a gold in the 2010 World Cup. Her other interests include skate skiing, biathlon, cooking, and adventure racing with her team, "Goat Thunder."

Julie Bryan ran for the USA on the Mountain Running Team for several consecutive years. Each year only 4 women in the country are chosen as a team member by winning select races. Julie has won a great many races and holds records on noted courses such as the Colorado Barr Trail, Pikes Peak, Colorado, and has won the ½ marathon trail championships at the North Face Challenge. Julie has raced both nationally and internationally for the Teva Mountain Running Team and has been sponsored by Teva, GoLite, Petzel, 180’s and La Sportiva.
Julie currently coaches for Dreamchasers and uses her vast experience as an elite runner to help other runners reach their full potentials. Join her for group trail runs throughout the summer season.

Char O'brien grew up in upstate New York and moved here to explore the wild west about 15 years ago. She has two amazing children, Tanner and Izzy, who light up her days!! Char also has 2 dogs and 2 cats. She has worked extensively with children and adults for 15 years.
Currently Char teaches reading at the Alta school, Fitness classes at Dreamchasers, and is a facilitator for Parenting with Love and Logic. Char LOVES the outdoors! Mountain biking , hiking, swimming, skiing, camping, eating and cooking, pretty much anything with friends and family makes her feel rich and fills her soul!!

Chris Heilman attended South Dakota State University and completed a BS in Athletic Training and a MS in Exercise Science. She recently earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychosocial Aspects of Sport at the University of Utah. Christina has over 10 years of teaching experiences related to fitness. These experiences include rehabilitating injured athletes as a certified athletic trainer, instructing weight lifting university courses, teaching ski conditioning, weight lifting, circuit training and flexibility classes for university professors and students.
At Dreamchasers, Christina is combining her interests in injury prevention, exercise physiology, and sport and exercise psychology by teaching a Pilates mat class and MIX IT UP. Both classes use a variety of core exercises to improve strength, flexibility, posture, and mind-body awareness.

Dr. James Davis received his Doctorate degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO, in 1981. He completed an additional residency with Dr. John Southerland in Gridley, California before moving to his home state of Idaho in 1982, where he practiced for 11 years. He then had the opportunity to move to Australia where he practiced chiropractic and studied the Japanese style of acupuncture. In 2001, he returned to the states and opened Aspen Wellness in Victor, Idaho, where he practiced until March of 2010. He moved to Oregon to practice with his two sons, who are also Chiropractic Physicians in Cottage Grove, Oregon. In 2012, he returned home and is excited to resume working in Teton Valley for Dreamchasers.
